With the Jubilee weekend almost upon us, we have been looking around for the best in celebrations and it’s come to our attention that Harrods, London are doing a pretty good job!
Not only have they asked a host of the world’s best designers including Erdem, Marchesa and Valentino to create unique ballgowns in celebration of the Jubilee and the V&A’s exhibition Ballgowns: British Glamour since 1950 (which we strongly urge everyone to go and see), but the Knightsbridge landmark department store have also instructed 32 leading brands to create bespoke crowns!
Paul Smith, Tiffany & Co, Mulberry, Shu Uemura, Jo Malone and Lanvin are just a few of the brands that have lent their design skills to the Harrods crown collection. Shown in the windows of the store along the Brompton Road, the crowns are based on a replica of the St. Edward’s coronation crown, and some of them are equally as mesmerising.
If you love art, all things Royal and sparkly things, head down to Harrods and check out the crowns. Our favourites are by Paul Smith and Lanvin, what’s yours?
